YouTube API Integration Terms of Service and Privacy Policies
Last Updated on June 10, 2023
If you choose to use the Content Alchemy, you agree to the additional terms of service and privacy policies described below, in addition to the Content Alchemy TOS and Privacy Policy.
The Content Alchemy YouTube integrations use YouTube API Services, and by using these optional features, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Before using these features, you should also review the Google Privacy Policy.
When you enable a YouTube user from within a Content Alchemy account using the Sign in with Google button, Content Alchemy will use the data and have access to the necessary information. Here is the information we use and why:
- We access avatars, channel ids and access tokens, which are associated with a Google Account so they will be displayed as the identity of the currently logged in user. This step will allow you to decide which YouTube account you want to use.
Additionally, here is the data the YouTube API integration uses:
- We list the top search results from YouTube based on the keywords you entered as a reference for creating a new video title that you will make.
- We list video descriptions from the top searches on YouTube based on the keywords you entered as references to create new video descriptions.
- We add and/or change the thumbnails on the videos you choose with the ones you upload or create yourself using our thumbnail editor feature.
- We list video tags from the top searches on YouTube based on the keywords you entered as a reference for creating tags for your new videos.
- We upload the video that you have made along with all the information (title, description, thumbnail, tags & video visibility) to your YouTube channel.
- We display watchtime statistics for videos on your YouTube channel as a simple report on the progress of videos on your channel based on watch time.
The data described above is only used for the purpose of providing Content Alchemy guided content creation services. We never share this information with external parties. This policy is described in more detail in Content Alchemy's Privacy Policy.
If you want to revoke Content Alchemy's access to your YouTube data, you can a) press the Remove Access button on the My Account > Account Settings > Authenticate with Google page, or b) click Remove Access for Content Alchemy on the Google security settings page for your Google account.
